ST. DAVID'S CLOSE


St. David's Uniting Church Albury has constructed 8 x 1 Bedroom, and 1 x 2 Bedroom independent living Units, situated adjacent to the Church, at 519 Wilson Street, Albury.


Objectives
These Units provide housing within a Christian environment for older people who have reached a stage in life when their existing living arrangements are no longer suitable.

Residents living at St. David's Close have:

 adjacent contact with people of similar age and circumstance.

 security of tenure, whilst able to care for themselves.

 independence.

 community living.

 access to fellowship and resources in the adjoining Church property.

 easy access to CBD / shopping, and community services.

 

Applicants Qualifications
In principle, the applicant must be of pensionable age, and unable to meet the cost of a Private Retirement Village Unit.

Applicants will be required to supply a medical certificate to certify ability to live independently.

Applicants will be considered irrespective of their religious affiliation.

Residents will be required to make a capital contribution for a Unit, and subject to a deduction being made in terms of the Contract, the balance of this contribution is refunded upon vacation of the Unit.

During the term of occupancy, a maintenance charge is payable, which covers property repairs and maintenance, pest control, insurance, Council rates, and lawns and garden maintenance.

The amount of capital contribution (which varies depending on the size of the Unit) and the maintenance charge are subject to annual review.

Applicants wishing to be considered for occupation upon a vacancy occurring, should in the first instance submit their names onto a short waiting list.
